Dekker Chrysanten has to maintain its reputation with respect to renovation within the production process. We are ahead on the field of process automation, ICT and energy supplies (WKK) and have several patents on our name. The hundred thousand non-rooted cuttings which are flown to the Netherlands daily are processed in a fully automatic process. Fastened in special plastic strips they are transported from the large cold storages via overhead monorail trains directly to the sticking machines. These machines plant the vulnerable cuttings automatically into peat blocks, followed by a rooting period under optimal growing conditions.
Product innovation 
In 2005, Dekker made a breakthrough within the breeding area. The Company launched a totally new type of chrysanthemum, the ‘Madiba’, expressly intended as an expansion to the total chrysanthemum product line. It is a new flower with unique characteristics: easy to grow, extremely long-lasting and very decorative. Cultivators and florists are very enthusiastic about the new applications of this flower. www.madiba.nl
