The chrysanthemum grower is our customer. Critical, demanding and searching for the perfect chrysanthemum cutting. High quality, uniformity and a fast expedient delivery create the basis of our company. From the moment of planting the motherplants until the growth at the customer; details of all cuttings produced are recorded in our tracking & tracing system. In case of any problems with the cuttings we can immediately find the source and continue working on the optimization of the cutting quality.
Cooperation within the chain
The introduction of chrysanthemum varieties is not as obvious as we might think. Only when the complete chain – grower, wholesaler and retailer – accepts a new variety a possible commercial success can be achieved. That is why we actively work together with our customers and with the customers of our customers. Request on the field of vaselife, disease resistance and appearance are passed on to our breeders. In this way we assist in constructing the image and market position of one of the worlds favourite flowers.
Information defines the correct choice
A good market price is decided by demand and supply. Wholesalers prefer to look ahead. We therefore issue the ‘DAIO’ (Dekker Availability Information Overview) each four weeks. This overview contains the total availability per variety each week and the auction’s location. In this way we contribute to stable market prices and a healthy sector.
